Fu Wenjun, Chinese contemporary artist, was born in Chongqing (China) in 1955. He graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and currently works on conceptual photography, installation, sculpture and oil painting. Now he lives and works at Chongqing, China.
He has presented solo exhibitions at Guangdong Museum of Art (Guangzhou), the Old Summer Palace (Beijing), United Nations Headquarters (New York), Today Art Museum (Beijing) and other international art organization. His works are exhibited at significant international exhibitions such as Voice of the Unseen Chinese Independent Art 1979/Today, collateral exhibition of Biennale di Venezia 2013, Triennale dell’Arte Contemporanea, 1st Asia Biennial/5th Guangzhou Triennial, X Florence Biennale, XVIII Bienal de Cerveira, 2015 RomArt --- International Biennale of Art and Culture, 1st Changjiang International Image Biennale, II Biennale di Palermo, Bienal de Arte Barcelona, 2nd International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Argentina.
He was awarded the International Excellent Art Prize twice from World Chinese Arts General Meeting, the international prize of “World Outstanding Chinese Artist”, the first prize of digital art from International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Argentina, Tour Eiffel La Grande Exposition Universelle “The Best Artist in the World”, the Roma Imperiale International Award for his stylistic value, 2015 Pieter Paul Rubens International Award awarded by “Italia in Arte” Culture Association, for his high recognition of art and contribution on the culture, International Award “Lorenzo il Magnifico” of X Florence Biennale, 1st International Noto Award – UNESCO Heritage, International Prize Michelangelo – Artists at the Jubilee, International Prize “il David di Bernini”, International Prize Tiepolo – Art Milan, Canaletto Prize Artistic Career Award, “Art and Science ” Award, International Prize Colosseo, “Visitors Chosen Artist” at Triennale dell’Arte Contemporanea and other international art honors.
