Gilda Frumkin
Biography
A self-taught painter from the age of six, for Gilda Frumkin painting is a way of living, expression and communication. After 11 solo exhibitions, her participation in many group exhibitions and in the Florence Biennale of 2007, and the 1st Izmir Biennale of 2009 the artist feels that she must continue to create and communicate through art with people even more than before. Her favorite theme "The Human Passage" presents objects that from time to time people have used, needed, bonded with, loved and that are now forgotten. The reality is that Gilda Frumkin paints whatever leads her to come into contact with the colors and the light and the odor of the art. “I teach painting to adults since 1996 and the most important that I’m trying to pass them, is to be genuine and to love their uniqueness” says the unique artist.
