Claudio Marcello
Biography
Claudio Marcello was born in Fiume (Rjeka- Croatia), but he has a Tuscan soul as all them of his previous generations. He lived many years abroad, in many countries, especially in Latin America. Now he lives and works in Rome and Sarteano (Siena).
His first exhibition was in 1951 in Montevideo (Uruguay) at the Gallery "Vieux Paris" and in 1957 obtained the 1st prize Works Graphic Art in that city.
Then in 1958 at the National Gallery of Plastic Arts in Buenos Aires and in 1965 the first Personal exhibition in Rome at the D'Urso Art Gallery.
From then, he got awards and recognitions in other exhibitions.
In the last two years he had a Personal exhibition at Galleria Cassiopea (Rome) and at the Town Hall in Rieti, a collective International Exhibition in Florence in "Casa di Dante" Museum and in Turin in the Column Hall of Castello del Valentino.
On Sept. 2011 he exhibits in Rome at "Dioscuri del Quirinale" (the 3 last exhibitions at the occasion of the 150th birthday of Italy) and at the Biennale of Chianciano, International Contemporary Art.
He joined again to contemporary art exhibition at the International Art Award of the Museum of Chianciano in September 2012 with two operas of which one was chosen for the cover of the official catalogue along with a sculpture by Henry Moore, obtaining the 1st Prize of the Anglo Italian Academy .Various works are exhibited through events managed by Gagliardi Gallery of London in England.
On June 2013 C.Marcello exhibited at the Museo Bellini in Florence. In September 2013 he is again at the International Exhibition of Contemporary Art Museum of Chianciano. Recently he participated to several exibitiions in Rome, Carrara and Pietrasanta with Astrolabio Gallery (Rome).
Different are the techniques of painting: oil, watercolor, tempera, ink. Since 2005 his works are all in acrylic.
