"I'm a city person and enjoy to be in cities, observing people and having access to concerts, museums and teater, opera and all the things you can access in a city. But I also have a strong need to retreat from everything, stay in nature, walk the forrest, observe the sea. That's probably why I ended up in Oslo that connects all this in one place. I live close to the forrest and get a lot of inspiration there. The last years I've been working on subjects of cultural expression such as dance and theater, and cityscapes.I love to travel slow and get inspired by traveling to new places, new people, new enviroments and cultures. In the time we live in where the growing tendency seems to be to close borders, to reject the multicultural, and growing nationalism, I find it particularly important to be open to the differences and similarities of culture."
Anny Langer was born and grew up in Germany. In 1994 she moved to Norway and lives in Oslo. She’s educated in pedagogy, yoga and art.Anny Langer received her art education through the Technical collage of art "Krieler Dom" in Cologne, Germany, Vika Art school in Oslo, Norway, art classes at artists like Nirmal Singh Dhunshi and Øivind Nystrøm (both Norway), Norwegian Printmakers Studio Oslo, and the adult education center in Husum, Germany.
